- Gingerbread House
- Prepare gingerbread dough by following your favourite gingerbread recipe.
- Roll out the gingerbread dough to a thickness that fits the depth of the silicone mould's cavities, approximately 1cm.
- Press the gingerbread dough into the silicone mould, ensuring it takes the shape of the design.
- Use a knife or spatula to level off any excess dough from the top of the mould.
- Bake the gingerbread in the silicone mould as per your recipe's instructions.
- Once baked and cooled, gently remove the gingerbread pieces from the mould.
- Chocolate Treats:
- Melt chocolate (dark, milk, or white) in a microwave or using a double boiler.
- Pour the melted chocolate into the silicone mould, filling each cavity to the top.
- Tap the mould gently on a flat surface to remove any air bubbles.
- Place the mould in the refrigerator or freezer to allow the chocolate to set completely.
- Once the chocolate is firm and set, carefully remove the chocolate pieces from the mould.
- Assembling and Gluing:
- Join the pieces of house together starting with the walls, then the roof. Use melted chocolate as "glue" to attach the pieces together or Royal Icing for Gingerbread.
- Dip one end of a piece into the glue and attach it to another piece. Hold them together for a few seconds until the chocolate or icing sets and sticks them together.
- Repeat the process for other pieces until you have created your house
